The Canadian Wheat Board has announced farmers will receive interim payments for most grades of wheat and designated barley delivered during the 2009-10 crop year.

Payments will be 16 dollars per tonne for wheat and 10 dollars per tonne for designated barley.

Interim payments represent partial settlement of the proceeds due to farmers from the sale of their grain. They're issued after the crop year ends, but before final payments are sent out.
