A crop west of Fairfax was harvested for the Canadian Foodgrains Bank yesterday.

 

15 combines were on hand for the Boissevain-Morton-Whitewater Growing Project harvest.

 

Harold Penner  the Foodgrains Bank Manitoba Coordinator was at the event.

 

 

 

the farmers combined 300 acres of wheat. this was the 13th year for this group's foodgrains harvest.


The land is owned by Del Fraser. This was the third year the growing project took place on Fraser's land.

 

 

Indications are the growing project will remain at the Fraser farm for 2011.

 

 

Darren Peters of Boissevain is part of the Growing Project committee. He was pleased with this year's effort.

 

 

Proceeds from the harvest will go to the Canandian Foodgrains Bank and its work around the world.
