The Killarney Shamrocks scored four goals in each period and defeated the Bisons 12-4 in Melita in the lone Tiger Hills Hockey League game Wednesday night. Reid Gow, Isaac Friesen, Brett Opperman and Kyle Peters had two goals each for the Shamrocks while the rest went to Sutton Olson, Morgan Magwood, Daniel Stagg and Brayden Cuthbert. Aubrey Chapman chipped in with five assists. Ryan Crepeele had a hat trick for the Bisons. Elisha Bambridge had the other Melita goal.

 

The Winnipeg Blue Bombers have announced its team award winners. Quarterback Zach Collaros is the Most Outstanding Player; Linebacker Adam Bighill is the Most Outstanding Defensive Player; the top Canadian is receiver Nick Demski; Most Outstanding Offensive Lineman is Stanley Bryant; Most Outstanding Special Teams Player is fullback Mike Miller and the Most Outstanding Rookie is defensive back DeAundre Alford. The West and East Division winners will be announced next Wednesday. The CFL's Most Outstanding Player Awards will be handed out during Grey Cup week in Hamilton. 

 

Technical issues have delayed Golf Manitoba's announcement of the 2021 Manitoba Amateur Golfers of the Year. The winners were to be revealed virtually on Wednesday but the announcement will now be made today at 3 p.m. The female finalists are Hannah Diamond, Rhonda Orr and Bobbi Uhl. The male finalists are Ryan Sholdice, Braxton Kuntz and Todd Fanning. Golf Manitoba's Volunteer of the Year will also be announced.
