Ridly Greig had two goals and three assists as the Western Hockey League's Brandon Wheat Kings defeated Swift Current 8-2 at Westoba Place. Nolan Ritchie, Mason Ward, Marcus Kallionkieli and Owen Harris. also scored for Brandon. Ethan Kruger stopped 30 of the 32 shots he faced. The Wheat Kings (8-10) have three wins and one loss on their six-game homestand which continues Friday against the Medicine Hat Tigers. 


Canada's National Women's hockey team lost 2-0 to the United States Tuesday night in Ottawa. Hillary Knight and Amanda Kessel scored power play goals for the Americans and Maddie Rooney stopped all 26 shots she faced. Ann-Renée Desbiens turned aside 18 shots in net for Canada. The Rivalry Series is tied at two games a piece and will continue December 15th in St. Louis.

Meghan Walter, Lane Prokopowich, Katie McKenzie and Mackenzie Elias of East St. Paul are also 1-1.
