Providence College and Seminary in Otterburne has a 17% increase in new students this year. President Gus Konkel says the increase in new students is a good way to spice up the student life. New students can add a new vigour to student life, like adding new voices to student council.

Konkel says it's interesting to see how students enrol in post secondary education these days. He explains, students used to attend a school because they met somebody from the school and that interested them to enrol. But now he says, students often go searching  for schools on their own and choose the one that best suites their needs.

He is also hopeful for the future of student numbers. He says they are in business cycle and he is expecting the entire student population to grow within the next few years as more people enrol to achieve multi year degrees.
