This year's University of Manitoba Aggie Bedpush Fundraiser was another big success.

The event, which is into its 35th year, raised over $7,000 this past weekend for Manitoba Farmers with Disabilities.

Courtney Boyachek, one of the event organizers, says they had a good mix of people helping out this year.

"With all the food science and human nutritional science now in the faculty, you get an array of different people which is excellent," she commented.

This year's tour made stops in eight Manitoba communities including Oakville, Elm Creek, Treeherne, Boissevain, Minnedosa, Neepawa, Gladstone, and Portage.

"When you have an array of students from different places, you always have a connection in each community," said Boyacheck.

The bed frame on wheels, which as been used for 35 years, was driven to each location and then wheeled along the community's main drag.

About 50 volunteers took part in the event this year.
