Concrete has now been poured at all four elevators currently being constructed by CWB.

The elevator near St. Adolphe was cemented a couple of weeks ago, while CWB's elevator at Bloom, Manitoba (west of Portage) is preparing to take deliveries at the end of June.

CWB Vice-President of Grain Procurement Gord Flaten says there will be more elevators popping up in the near future.

"We do have more in the works, we haven't announced any others, but the plan is to have a network of grain elevators across the prairies and end-to-end from the prairies to the ports, both east coast and west coast."

CWB's elevator at St. Adolphe is expected to be completed this winter with deliveries starting in February or March of 2016.

A pair of elevators are also under constructed in Saskatchewan.

It was announced earlier this year that G3 Global Grain Group had purchased a majority share in CWB for $250 million.

The deal is expected to close this summer.
