Dan Mazier will be president of Keystone Agricultural Producers (KAP) for another year. Elected in 2015, Mazier was acclaimed this year, running unopposed for the position.

Mazier says in his first year, things were still new, and he looks forward to the provincial election this year, particularly after seeing how things went with the federal election.

"I thought the 12 weeks were fantastic. We got to talk about what it meant to all these different parties — we had a good look at it. I don't know if we're going to be given the same opportunity in Manitoba with this provincial election, but we learned something in the federal election, and I think maybe we could ask differently and get a little more information out of these (provincial) guys and gals before they drop the writ," Mazier says.

Keystone Agricultural Producers held their annual general meeting this week, with members and other ag leaders from across the Prairies gathering in Winnipeg for discussions.
