The largest private added-value soybean company in the country has made the move to western Canada.

Prograin, a family owned company, has been in the market for 35 years in Quebec.

Alexandre Beaudoin is the sales and marketing manager for seed in Canada.

He explained the advantage of being solely focused on soybeans.

"A lot of companies have corn, soybeans, and other products. Being strictly soybeans, we can concentrate and be more efficient and be more competitive in the soybean market."

Prograin recently signed a deal with Quarry Seed to act as its distributor.
