Seeding progress is estimated at 87% complete in Manitoba, thanks to the warm, dry weather over the past few days.

In its Weekly Crop Report, Manitoba Agriculture, Food, and Rural Development is reporting that the previous week's weather of rain, snow, wind and cool temperatures did impact some crops across the province.

Excess moisture impacted crop emergence and plant stands, mainly in the lower areas of fields.

There was some reseeding of canola due to frost, wind and excess moisture.

Flea beetles are also becoming an issue in some of the earliest seeded canola fields.

Weed control will become a priority for producers as crops continue to emerge.
