In its latest crop report, Manitoba Agriculture says seeding progress is between 10 and 15 per cent complete in the southwest region of the province.

Most seeded acres are cereals, field peas and and some canola.

In areas north of Highway #1, only 5 to 10 per cent seeding is completed, although there are some areas close to Brandon which have higher percentages of acres seeded.

Winter wheat and fall rye are regrowing well in most areas and weeds are also growing well under the recent warm weather conditions.

Water levels continue to recede in most areas.

It is estimated that 20 to 25% of seeding is completed across the province.
