Agriculture in the Classroom Canada (AITC-C) has launched an expanded version of its resource library for educators, with over 500 curriculum-connected resources available.

“We are incredibly proud of the growth we’ve witnessed over the last couple of months for the resource library,” said AITC-C Executive Director Johanne Ross. “New learning materials are being added every week and we’ve received very positive feedback from educators across the country, which means we’re growing in the right direction!”

Teachers can access several hundred free educational resources and activities. The only steps required are to register and sign in.

“We’ve designed the platform specifically so that resources and activities are available with the click of a button,” commented AITC-C Education Specialist Melissa Galay. “Registered users can easily filter through resources by subject, grade, topic, province or resource type, and there is even an option to save your favourites for later.”

Galay notes most of their provincial member organizations are getting geared up and ready for in-person programming and field trips and classroom presentations.

"That's just so exciting for us to be back in classrooms with students," she said.

Another feature of the resource library is that users can visit the AITC Dashboard to see what’s new, and view their recent downloads or resource orders.

More dashboard improvements will be made in the near future, and users will soon be able to register for other AITC programs such as Canadian Agriculture Literacy Month or Little Green Thumbs directly from the platform.
