We're excited to welcome Crash Test Dummies to our Made in Manitoba program ahead of their performance on the main stage of The Winkler Harvest Festival, August 11th.The group saw tremendous success in the early 90s, launching them to international stardom and thousands of albums sold with hits like Superman's Song, Afternoons & Coffeespoons, MMM MMM MMM and The Ballad of Peter Pumpkinhead. What you may not know, or remember, is the group got its start in Winnipeg, with all of its original members from our provincial capital. Those southern Manitoba roots are part of our conversation with the band this weekend.
The Crash Test Dummies got back on the road in a more regular fashion back in 2017 after performing at the Canada Summer Games in Winnipeg, for what, at the time, was going to be a one-off reunion, but turned into much more. Chris Sumner had a great chat with lead vocalist Brad Roberts and keyboardist/back-up vocalist Ellen Reid and you can catch their full conversation plus a bunch of those famous 90's hits and even a brand new song, all on a fresh Made in Manitoba with the Crash Test Dummies, enjoy!
