"There's a lot going on and it gives everybody a chance to participate in one thing or another," says Christmas Events Coordinator for Souris-Glenwood, Michelle Wipf.  "Just come and have a lot of fun! Bring out the family! Come and see the lights! Just get right into the holiday spirit!"

Each year the town of Souris embraces a unique theme for their Christmas decorations, store frontage contests, evening events and Santa pictures!  AND this year they're turning Souris into Who-ville where the Grinch and Santa will be sharing the spotlight!

November 24th you can join Santa at the Souris Complex for a skate at 6pm!  A tree lighting ceremony will also be taking place from 6-7:30 pm on that same evening all at the Souris Memorial Complex.

Santa's Workshop is where children can join in the fun of purchasing their gifts for friends and family members, in a safe environment where volunteers help the children with the choosing and the gift wrapping!

Please listen to Michelle Wipf explain Santa's Workshop below!

Santa's Workshop takes place Friday, December 1st from 5:30-7:30 pm at the St. Paul's United Church. $10 per voucher.

Saturday, December 2nd will be the Santa Claus Parade, with special guest, the Grinch!

Sunday, December 3rd will be a meet and greet with Santa and the Grinch at the Avalon Theatre from 2-3:30 pm and you can get your picture taken with these two!

Wipf says it takes a lot of volunteers to put all these events together for the Christmas season, "but again here in Souris we are so incredibly lucky to have community members that just love to rally for community events!"
