The Killarney Turtle Mountain Arts Council will be hosting a festival July 29-31.

The 2nd annual sights and sounds arts and music festival will be held July 29th to 31st at the Agricultural Building in Killarney.

Arts administrator Jane Ireland looks forward to seeing hundreds of people over the three day festival. “We’re excited and gearing up for the Friday evening opening. Then it’s a weekend filled with music, art and food.”

Organizers are pleased to be hosting and anticipate a larger crowd than 2021. The weather last year was less than ideal with lots of rain and an attendance figure of around 100 people. Jane Ireland is hoping for a favourable forecast for the August long weekend.

“Gates open Friday at 4:00pm and once we’ve sold 300 tickets that’s it we can’t sell anymore. Saturday and Sunday the gates open at 11:00 am. The artisans market is free of charge” said Jane Ireland.

“Everything is happening in our yard at the Heritage Home for The Arts. We have a lovely big side yard and that’s where the music will be and the agriculture building right next us is where the artisans will be and they’ll also spill outside as well.”
