Some of the top auctioneers from Manitoba and Saskatchewan will be in Killarney in mid-April.
They’ll be in Killarney for the first time as Killarney Auction Mart gets ready to host the Man-Sask Auction Competition.
Owner Allan Munroe looks forward to hosting. “We’ve never hosted this event before and I look forward to having anywhere from 12 to 15 auctioneers showing their skills on April 15th.”
“I’ve got auctioneers coming from as far away as Saskatoon and possibly Swift Current. Every auctioneer will come in and sell some cows and feeder cattle and then some items that have been donated by our sponsors to raise some money and cover some expenses."
Munroe says everyone gets a go at auctioneering and then the top five will come back and we’ll have a champion named and that person can head to Olds, Albert for the national competition this spring,” said Allan Munroe.
