Greg Todoruk of Dauphin has qualified for the 2011 Safeway Championship. Todoruk outscored Richard Muntain of Lac du Bonnet 10-7 in the final of the Safeway Northern Berth Bonspiel in Flin Flon. Todoruk along with third Dwight Bottrell, second Darcy Todoruk, and lead Mike Csversko downed Shawn Taylor of Brandon 8-3 in the semi-finals while Muntain beat Travis Taylor of Thompson 8-4. Todoruk joins Southern Berth Bonspiel winner Jeff Stoughton of Charleswood and Manitoba's top team from the Canadian Team Ranking System Mike McEwen of Assiniboine Memorial as the first three teams to qualify for the Provincial Men's Curling Championship which will be held from February 9th-13th at the Sun-Gro Centre in Beausejour.

 

 

 

 

Derek Blanchard of Assiniboine Memorial and Joey Witherspoon of Deer Lodge have qualified for the 2011 Manitoba Canola Growers Junior Men's Provincial Championships after winning their spots at the Berth Bonspiel in Boissevain. Blanchard, third Trevor Calvert, second Scott Bruce, and lead Brett Brezden downed Sam Good of Stonewall 8-4 while Witherspoon, third Connor Njegovan, second Neil Kitching, and lead Mike Neufeld beat Ian Campbell of Charleswood 12-5. The Provincial Junior Men's Championship will take place from January 6th-10th in Gimli.

 

 

 

 

Kate Cameron of Victoria and Breanne Meakin of St. Vital have qualified for the 2011 Manitoba Canola Growers Junior Women's Provincial Championships after winning their spots at the Berth Bonspiel at the Victoria Curling Club in Winnipeg. Cameron, along with third Nicole Sigvaldason, second Mariah Mondor, and lead Sheyna Andries beat Jackie Hebert of St. Vital 8-1. Meakin, third Erika Sigurdson, second Briane Meilleur, and lead Krysten Karwacki downed Darcy Maywood of Brandon 7-2. The Provincial Junior Women's Championship will take place from January 6th-10th at the Victoria Curling Club.
