Summer camps are looking forward to a more regular summer season.

That includes Turtle Mountain Bible Camp (TMBC) located between Boissevain and Deloraine. The past two years looked a lot different because of the pandemic and covid rules.

Howard Weir is co-director at TMBC and he is pleased registrations are bounding back closer to pre pandemic levels. “The upcoming season is fast approaching and we’re really excited for it. Our registrations looks good and we look to be fairly full this summer.”

“Our big need right now is male staff to work in the cabins and as life guards. Those are our two big needs right now but we’re really excited for what’s coming this summer.”

TMBC turns 75 years old in 2022 and a celebration is planned for June 4th.

“Right now it’s prep time and getting everything cleaned up and ready. We’re hosting a 75th camp anniversary celebration June 4th and it will be a day long event and the kick off four our summer season and it will also be the official grand opening of our new building” said Howard Weir.

People are asked to go to the camp’s website to register for the anniversary celebration so camp officials know how many people to plan for.

“We’re happy to see number climbing back up and this year we will host around 475 campers.”
