The call is out for people to help with jobs at the U11 Provincial hockey tournament set for the first weekend of March in Boissevain.

Workers are needed to help run the time clock and work at the gate. Organizer says with everyone ready to move on from the pandemic the hockey provincials will be a welcome distraction and something people will appreciate having a chance to attend.

“We’re excited to be hosting and with 10 teams in town we could see anywhere from 200 to 300 people in our community” said host committee member Kara Paradis.

People interested in helping out can contact Paradis at the municipal office at 204-534-2433.

Food services are somewhat limited in Boissevain so the host committee is getting creative in what is being offered to visitors coming to town.

“There’s not a lot of places to eat in town right now. The Boissevain Curling Club is doing a fund raiser and will be serving up breakfast lunches and other stuff during the weekend.”
