Thursday night was granting evening for the Boissevain-Morton Foundation and that resulted in thousands of dollars going out into the community for various projects.

Representatives from the 16 organizations were at the Boissevain Curling Club to pick up their cheque.

 

This year’s list of recipients includes:

 

1. Boissevain Golf Club $4,100 (to purchase an air conditioner)

2. Seniors’ Services for Turtle Mountain Area $560 (portable p-a system)

3. Evergreen PCH $6,550 (renovated activity room and replace shelving)

4. Boissevain Food Pantry $6,114 (purchase food items for the food bank)

5. Boissevain & Morton Library $1,761 (supplies to update archives to optimal standards)

6. Boissevain-Morton Fire Department $5,000 (breathing apparatus)

7. Tiny Turtle Playroom $2,000 (“Role play” out in community)

8. Boissevain Border Kings $4,000 (team jerseys for 2023)

9. Westview Lodge $6,515 (TV for sunroom, 20 tv tables and 2 activity tables)

10. Boissevain Composers and Kids $2,000 (Composer’s visit with music students)

11. Westman Animal Rescue $ $4,400 (spay and neuter clinic for cats)

12. Boissevain-Morton Parks & Recreation $5,000 (to purchase tot slide for new pool)

13. Boissevain Curling Club $14,000 (for ice plant)

14. Boissevain Lions Club $25,000 (to construct new washroom and showers for campground)

 

The Boissevain Bowling Alley donated $3,279 through a designated funds to the curling club and its ice plant replacement project.

The Boissevain-Morton Foundation will pump more than $198,000 back into the community in 2022 both through designated and non-designated funds.
