The Boissevain-Morton Foundation held its first ever granting evening last night.

Board members gathered with representatives of the groups receiving funds. Helen Latimer chairs the foundation board. She said 8 groups shared in 17,000-dollars of undesignated money. She hopes the granting evening becomes an annual event.

Boissevain Composers and Kids received $1,450. Diana Neufeld was on hand to pick up the cheque.

Jim Dickinson was there on behalf of the Boissevain Curling Club.

Other recipients included the Legion, $2,500 for a new dishwasher, Community Center $1,000 for eavestroughing, Skating Club $2,500 for a jump harness, Boissevain School $2,500 for a CNC Plasma cutter, Moncur Gallery $200 for signs, the Agriculture Society $2,500 for exhibitor tables and horse ring upgrade and Westview Lodge $2,000 for a sunroom.
