The Winnipeg Blue Bombers face a must-win situation today (CJRB radio 1220 3 p.m.) as their playoff hopes are on the line at Canad Inns Stadium. The Blue Bombers, who have won just two of their last 11 games, will meet the Toronto Argonauts. Winnipeg is out of the CFL East Division playoff picture and their chance of qualifying for the crossover is hanging by a thread. The Blue Bombers are four points back of the B.C. Lions who hold down third place in the CFL West. The Lions outscored the Calgary Stampeders 36-31 last night at McMahon Stadium. Winnipeg has three games left and must win all three while B.C. has two. The Lions would have to lose both. The Edmonton Eskimos, who will host the Saskatchewan Roughriders tonight, are also in the playoff picture. The Eskimos are two points back of B.C. Edmonton would have to lose at least two of their remaining three games for the Blue Bombers to have any chance of making the playoffs.
