Boundary Co-op FUEL GOOD DAY last week Tuesday was pretty fantastic for three community organizations in their towns: Services for Seniors in Killarney, Westman Animal Rescue in Boissevain, and the Deloraine Minor Ball in Deloraine.

For every litre of fuel sold at the pump that day, Federated Co-op donated 5 cents to that community's recipient, and Boundary Co-op then matched that 5 cents.  As well, all Co-operative coffees and Big Slushes sold that day added an extra dollar for each sell.

Marketing Manager, Cheryl Rushing, says last Tuesday was a fabulous day with sunny skies and warm temperatures. "Lots of people filled up their tanks, picked up a coffee or a Big Slush, and then joined us for lunch as well.  In every way each of the communities were really supportive for their local groups!"

For those organizations who are interested in next year's FUEL GOOD DAY, Rushing says they call out for applications each year mid to late Spring, well ahead of the September date.  "We have an application process every year. We open it up to all local organizations; any non-profits and charities, and anybody who's just doing good in their community. We invite them to apply for FUEL GOOD DAY funds so watch our social media pages for when its open for applications!"

Funds raised at Tuesday's FUEL GOOD DAY came to just over $6500:

Deloraine Minor Ball – $1700 (approx)

Westman Animal Rescue – $2000 (approx)

Killarney Services for Seniors – $3,000 (approx)

"I just want to thank our local organ
