The Riverbank Discovery Centre in Brandon will be filled with artwork until Saturday night.

It’s all part of the Brandon Riverbank Art Auction Fund Raising event that started February 23rd and continues through until Saturday, February 25th. The public will see art pieces from many of our local artists from Westman, including Weiming Zaho, Sandy Black, Douglas Brolund, Patricia Beech, Patrick Stone, Betty Sawatzky and many others.

“We have 26 artists with their artwork on display,” said Rochelle Johnson-Boswell the program and community relations coordinator at Brandon Riverbank.

“It’s an exciting time because we have an array of artists so I’m excited about the quality of work and I’m just waiting for members of the community to come down and see what we have on display.”

On Saturday at 5:00 p.m. they’ll have a reception and time for final bidding.

“All the proceeds from this will go to the Peter Sawatzky sculpture garden and it will be here beautifying the grounds of the Riverbank. So come down and make a bid on any of the artwork you like and hopefully when the bidding ends it’ll be yours.”
