Winnipeg Blue Bombers defensive tackle Doug Brown has been named the Canadian Football League's Canadian Player of the Week. Brown recorded three tackles, two sacks and one forced fumble in the Blue Bombers 47-35 overtime victory over the B.C. Lions this past Monday. He now sits third on the all-time Blue Bomber sacks list with 49. Brown is the fourth Bomber to be recognized this year as quarterback Buck Pierce, linebacker Joe Lobendahn and returner Jovon Johnson have all won weekly awards.
