The first Canadian Curling Championship of the 2010-2011 season will begin today at the Morris Curling Club. The Canadian Mixed will be held until November 20th and will include the provincial champions from all ten provinces, Yukon/Territories and Northern Ontario.

Manitoba will be represented by Terry McNamee and his Hamiota foursome of third Lana Hunter, second Allan Lawn and lead Lisa Blixhavn. Blixhavn is replacing Tanya Enns who is expecting twins. This will be McNamee's fourth appearance at the Canadian Mixed.

CJRB Sports Director Clayton Dreger asked Terry McNamee, who will play on the opening draw against Steve Slupski of Saskatchewan, how it feels to finally start the 2011 Canadian Mixed after winning the provincial title this past March in Stonewall.

The opening ceremonies for the 2011 Canadian Mixed Curling Championship begins at 5:15 p.m. at the Morris Curling Club. The opening draw is at 6:30 p.m.
