Killarney’s Cruise Night is making a return after two years off because of the pandemic.

Main street will be lined with vehicles Thursday night of June 9th.

Keith Kemp is with the local car club and looks forward to getting back out for Cruise Night and seeing other auto enthusiasts and people coming to look at the cars, trucks and motorcycles. “We missed a couple of years and we’re hoping to get things back on track again and we hope to get some people here because you know with fuel prices we’re a little nervous but we have entertainment and the fir department is putting on a barbecue so we’re ready to go.”

The auto show runs from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm and is on main street in Killarney between the post office and the mall. “The way the economy is and the fuel prices we’re hoping for the best.”

The club holds Cruise Nights three times a summer and it goes the second Thursday of the month.

“We usually get anywhere from 60 to 70 vehicles and we hope to see a similar number Thursday night. We have been down to 30 or 35 and it all depends on the weather. If it’s a nice night people like to come out with their lawn chairs and visit. This isn’t just for vehicle owners it’s for the entire community.”

Keith Kemp says the people just like to come out and have a hamburger and a drink and listen to some entertainment while viewing the vehicles.

“This is a fund raising event for the fire department and if we get any donations or other money we’ll give It to the fire department because they’ve been pretty good to us” said Keith Kemp.
