This Friday is Christmas Cheer Day at each of the Boundary Co-op Food store locations, where 5% of the total purchase will go directly towards that community's Christmas Cheer Campaign in Boissevain, Deloraine, Killarney and Hartney.

"We have done this in the past," shares Boundary Co-op Marketing Manager Cheryl Rushing. "We just thought, you know, it's that time of year and it's probably been a bit of a challenging year for some people, and there might be more of a need. So, we thought, yes, let's do it again and we'll give them a little bit of a boost for the holiday season."

Christmas Cheer committee members are anticipating more families will be on their list who need that extra help this Christmas, "and this is just a way for us to help out and hopefully give everybody a brighter Christmas who needs it," says Rushing.

"So, if you can wait until Friday to stock your pantry that would be great," she adds, "because for every dollar you spend, we'll be donating 5 cents on that dollar to Christmas Cheer!"
