Boundary Co-op is now accepting applications for two of their upcoming community programs: Communities in Full Color and Fuel Good Day.

Marketing Manager, Cheryl Rushing, says in both of their summer promotions they see strong community support.  "We have somewhat of a selection committee within the Co-op and we give preference to non-profit, charitable groups that invest in our communities and benefit our communities.  So, organizations like the fire departments, or recreation boards.  We have pools and parks and lots of support groups and service groups, schools and daycares, they're all welcome to apply."

Fuel Good Day application deadline:  Monday, May 30th

Communities in Full Color deadline: Friday, July 29th

1)  Communities in Full Color

Scope of program

The COMMUNITIES IN FULL COLOUR paint donation program is designed to provide local community organizations with FREE paint to be used towards local community improvements. The paint donation covers any interior, exterior, primer, stain or specialty coatings required. The program does NOT include applicators, surface preparation or repair products that might be required for a given project.

Who is eligible?

The COMMUNTIES IN FULL COLOUR paint donation is available to registered charities, registered non-profits, registered community groups, youth sport and recreation associations, and community improvement associations.

Priority will be given to applications that:

•             Support projects located within the trading area of the local Co-op

•             Align with the charitable priorities of the local Co-op

•             Identify a solution to a community need

Projects ineligible for funding include ones that:

•             Support religious- or political-affiliated organizations

•             Do not align with the charitable priorities of the local Co-op

How to apply:

Complete the COMMUNITIES IN FULL COLOUR application form in full.  The application can be found here: https://www.boundaryco-op.crs/sites/boundary/local/detail/communities-in-full-colour-2022-were-giving-back

We appreciate you providing details on the full scope of the project to be completed, even if it extends beyond paint.

Completed application forms will be directed to the nearest Co-op Association with a Home Centre location. Projects selected for paint donation will be notified by the Boundary Co-op Marketing Manager.

Communities in Full Colour - Deadline for applications is Friday, July 29 at 5:00 p.m.

2) Fuel Good Day is back for 2022 and will take place Tuesday, September 20.

This promotion focuses on Boundary Co-op's community-mindedness and our commitment to local investment. On Fuel Good Day, 10 cents per litre of every litre of fuel purchased at Boundary Co-op Gar Bars will be donated to a deserving local organization.  We will also donate $1 from the sale of each Co-operative Coffee and Big Cool Slush sold that day.

As pandemic restrictions have now lifted, your organization or group is encouraged to hold a BBQ, decorate, hold activities or games on-site, and in general, just help promote the day.  We find that the more an organization is engaged with this event, the more successful it is!

As a guideline, we suggest that the selected organization(s):

  • Supports local community initiatives.

  • Is registered as a charity or not-for-profit organization (eg. Fire department, recreation board, pool, park, support or service group, schools, etc.), although this is not required.

  • Is not a religious or politically affiliated organization, individual sports team, or individual sport-related event (i.e. tournament or bonspiel). These will be deemed ineligible.

Fuel Good Day 2022 - Deadline for applications is Monday, May 30 at 5:00 p.m.

Application form can be found at:
