Jesse Bernard had two goals and an assist as the Southwest Cougars downed the Parkland Rangers 4-0 in Dauphin. Cameron Rowat and Ben Williams also scored for the Cougars who were two-for-three on the powerplay. Gage Murray faced just seven shots as he recorded the shutout. Southwest is 28-8-0-3 and lead the Brandon Wheat Kings by five points in the race for top spot in the Manitoba "AAA" Midget Hockey League's West Division. The Cougars have two games in hand on the Wheat Kings who host the Yellowhead Chiefs tonight.
