Brian Archibald faced only 12 shots and stopped them all as the Southwest Cougars blanked the Yellowhead Chiefs 4-0 at the Doc Bonar Memorial Arena in Deloraine. Tanner Butler, Lucas Oliver, Daylon Creasy and Sutton Olson did the goal scoring for the Cougars who improved to 9-4-0-1 after winning their third straight game. Southwest is two points ahead of the Central Plains Capitals and three points up on the Brandon Wheat Kings in the race for top spot in the Manitoba "AAA" Midget Hockey League's West Division. The Cougars will wrap up their four-game homestand on Thursday when they meet the defending champion Pembina Valley Hawks in Souris.
