The Canadian Wheat Board has announced its final payments for the 2009-10 crop year .

The money represents the balance of what farmers are owed for their grain after the initial and interim payments, along with operating costs, have been deducted.

The final payment for Number 1 CWRS wheat at 12.5 percent protein is $13.87 for a total payment of $217.87 per tonne, or $5.93 per bushel.

The final payment for Select Two-Row Barley is $11.92 for a total of $208.4 per tonne, or $4.54 a bushel. For Select Six-Row Barley, the final payment is $14.14 for a total payment of $190.64 per tonne, or $4.15 per bushel.
