Canada has the day off at the 2011 World Women's Under-18 Hockey Championship in Stockholm. Nicole Kosta of Mississauga scored three times as Canada downed Germany 8-1 on Tuesday. Meghan Dufault of Winnipeg had a pair of assists while Shelby Bram also drew a helper for the Canadians who finished the preliminary round with a 3-0 record. Canada has a bye to the semifinal.

 

 

 


Canada's National Women's Under-22 hockey team has the day off at the MLP Cup in Kreuzlingen, Switzerland. Jessica Campbell of Melville scored twice and Geneviève Lacasse of Scarborough made 18 saves as Canada blanked the host Swiss 5-0 in their opener on Tuesday. Chelsea Karpenko of Winnipeg also scored for the Canadians who will play their final preliminary round game on Thursday against Germany.
