One person died Sunday night after being struck by a vehicle.

On May 22, 2022, at 6:30 pm, officers from Blue Hills RCMP responded to a report of a vehicle-pedestrian collision that occurred on Provincial Road 459, near the intersection of Road 115N, located approximately eight kilometres west of Brandon.

Officers attended to the collision and were advised that the driver, an 18-year-old female from Brandon, had been extricated from the vehicle and transported to hospital with non-life threatening injuries. An 18-year-old male, from Deloraine, was located near the vehicle. He was pronounced deceased on scene.

The initial investigation has determined that the 18-year-old male was standing on the side of the road when the vehicle entered the curve in the road and lost control and struck the male. The vehicle then entered the ditch and rolled.

Blue Hills RCMP continue to investigate.
