This year’s Fuel Good Day resulted in $6,895.00 being pumped back into three community groups thanks to support from people doing business at Boundary Co-op locations.

On September 20th, 10 cents from every litre of fuel purchased was donated from Co-op Gas Bars in Killarney, Boissevain and Deloraine. Each community also held a noon barbecue lunch.

This year’s sales resulted in support for the following groups:

$3,707.44 for Boissevain School Cross Country Ski Club

$1,321.11 for Deloraine School and;

$1,866.02 for Killarney Foodbank.

According to Co-op, groups apply to be a part of Fuel Good Day by completing an online application form available on their website, typically in May. Then a committee chooses the recipient(s) based on eligibility criteria from their community investment policies.
