The 2010 Community Futures conference in Brandon focused on affordable housing and daycare.

About 120 delegates were in Brandon on Friday and Saturday for their annual gathering.

Dale Banman with the Westman Community Futures group chaired the conference. He says the program is doing good things across Manitoba.

Affordable housing was a key topic at the conference.

Brent White is with Brandon's Neighborhood Renewal and Homelessness Advisory Board. He was part of a panel disucssion. He said it was a worthwhile process.

 

 

He says there's a real need for more affordable housing in all parts of the province.
