The Winnipeg Goldeyes introduced a secondary logo that will be used in 2011 on the baseball club’s red jersey, which the team wears for home afternoon games. The logo features a muscular Goldeye fish wearing a red jersey and red baseball cap. He has a menacing facial expression, while gripping a gold bat.


“This logo is a great addition to the proud ‘W’ logo the Goldeyes have enjoyed for the past 17 seasons,” Goldeyes General Manager Andrew Collier said. “The new logo appeals to all of our fans, but especially our younger fans. It allows us to do some new and creative things with our merchandise and advertising.”


The secondary logo will also be displayed in the Goldeyes 2011 advertising campaign and on team apparel, which will be available at The Dugout Souvenir Store inside Shaw Park in time for the opening of the 2011 season.
