Not since 1997 have Westman golfers had the opportunity to swing a club this late in the year. A lack of snow was too tempting for not just the Lambs but also another pair of golfers.

Penner and Hildebrand played 9 holes on December 24th and 9 more on Christmas day. Area golfers hope for an early spring but it's likely another 110 days before course starts to open in southwestern Manitoba.
