A group in Southwestern Manitoba is trying to start a short line rail company.
Scott Phillips is a councilor with the RM of Sifton and President of the Manitoba-Saskatchewan Railway.

Phillips says the line offers tremendous economic potential to investors.
CP Rail plans to abandon the 100 kilometers of line. Information meetings have been scheduled for March 22nd and 23rd in Sinclair, Pipstone and Hartney.
The group needs to raise 7 million dollars to purchase the line.
