The Boissevain Festival of the Arts piano sessions concluded on Wednesday and that brought this year’s festival to an end.

Up next will be the Awards Concert set for March 20th.

Festival volunteer Angie Armstrong Harper says they had about 150 registrations for vocal and piano sessions.

“It has been great. The kids have been thrilled and I think teachers are too and it’s such a great experience to be back with in person sessions.”

“I think it’s so important because they work so hard to perform and when it’s virtual they feel a little defeated sometimes and it really helps and when you have an audience to clap is is so rewarding for them.”

Festival organizers are confident if in person sessions resume in 2023 their numbers will get closer to pre pandemic registration numbers.

The Boissevain Festival of the Arts Awards Concert will take place March 20th at 3 pm at the Whitewater Church.
