On Thursday May 23, 2024, at approximately 9:30 pm, police responded to a report of an assault at a residence.  The 38-year-old male suspect had fled the home prior to police arrival.  Investigation revealed the victim received visible injures as a result of being punched and choked.  She did not require any medical attention.

On Friday May 24, 2024, police located the male.  He attempted to evade arrest by jumping out of a window and running from officers.  Police arrested the male after a brief foot pursuit.  He was also to abide by a release condition not to communicate with the female victim.  He was lodged at Brandon Police Service and will appear in court today on charges of Assault, Assault by Choking, Fail to Comply with Release Order and Resist Arrest.

Break and Enter to Business

On May 24, 2024, at approximately 11:30 pm, police received a report of a Break and Enter to a business in the 2100 block of Victoria Ave.  Suspects gained entry by throwing a cinder block through the front glass window which then triggered a business alarm.  Stolen was a guitar.  The suspect fled prior to police arrival.

On May 25, 2024, at approximately 5:00 am, police responded to a report of a disturbance in a residence.  Investigation revealed two individuals involved.  One of the individuals, a 20-year-old male was found to be intoxicated.  He was arrested and lodged at Brandon Police Service to prevent his behavior from continuing.  The second individual, a 19-year-old male was to abide by a curfew to be at a different address.  He too was arrested and will be released to appear in court on August 24, 2024, on a charge of Fail to Comply with Undertaking.

Arrest Warrant

On May 24, 2024, a 34-year-old female attended Brandon Police Service as she was aware of outstanding charges of Fail to Attend Court.  Following her arrest, she was released to appear in court on July 29, 2024.
