Updated Monday, November 20th at 10:15 a.m. - RCMP have released more details regarding the two vehicle collision late Sunday afternoon on Highway 3 near the corner of Road 19 north, just a couple miles north of Winkler Bible Camp in the R.M. of Roland.

It was reported a northbound vehicle had swerved to avoid colliding with an already dead deer on the road. The male driver lost control of the vehicle and collided with a southbound vehicle.

The 18-year-old male driver, from Winkler, was treated and released on scene. The 37-year-old female driver of the southbound vehicle, from Morden, suffered non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to hospital.

Carman RCMP continue to investigate.

Roland Fire Department, and other emergency crews, were dispatched to a two vehicle collision near the corner of Road 18 North and Highway 3 late Sunday afternoon. The call came in around 5:15 p.m.

According to the department, crews were on scene for about three hours. Injuries were reported but no specifics are available at this time. Traffic was temporarily detoured around the area for a period of time last night.
