Canada Day preparations are taking place across the country with only 3 weeks remaining to finalize plans.

General Manager of the Killarney Shamrock Centre, Liana Smith, says they're excited to bring a fun-filled day of activities, events and live music to town.  The day will be packed with lots to do, with the highlight being the evening concert with the Hunter Brothers!

"We're extremely excited!  We have an action-packed day for families and out of town visitors!"

Sand castle building, water slides and a pancake breakfast start the celebrations, with food trucks on site for lunch.  Live music starts at 2:00, but the main stage event begins at 4:00.  All events take place between the Killarney beach, Erin Park and the Ag Grounds across the street.

"The Hunter Brothers take the main stage at 9:30 and they'll go till about 11:30 at night and then we'll close the day with a big fireworks show!"

Smith says tickets sales have been fantastic with close to 2000 sold.  "Another 500 or so and we'll be sold out!"

Brothers, J.J., Dusty, Luke, Brock and Ty have entertained audiences across North America with their fun, lively concerts and dynamic harmonies. The brothers grew up on their family farm in Shaunavon, Saskatchewan with country, farming and music in their blood. To date, the Hunter Brothers have over 61 million video and audio streams and have achieved multiple CCMA Award nominations, JUNO Award nominations and SCMA Award wins.

Their 2019 album, State of Mind, remained the #1 country album for 4 consecutive weeks following it’s release. “Lost” was their first #1 single on country radio. “Those Were the Nights” and “Born and Raised” have all been certified Gold in Canada.  In 2020, the Hunter Brothers were the #3 most played group or duo on country radio in Canada.

"It's been fabulous!" shares Liana Smith. "It's been great to see the community supporting this and actually we have people coming from as far away as Snow Lake, Virden, Dauphin, Winnipeg, even Regina!"

Hunter Brothers Concert Tickets are available online at EventBrite, or can be purchased locally at the Shamrock Centre, Lewis & Jones, The Killarney Ag Society and Kerry Park Campground.

"We're hoping to make this an annual event, so we're already thinking about next year," she adds.
