Hockey was front and center this past weekend in Killarney.

The town is in the Kraft Hockeyville competition and Saturday was "Hockey Day" in Killarney.

Games were held throughout the day. There was also street hockey and interactive games.

Mayor Rick Pauls got in the spirit and was decked out in his Don Cherry outfit.

Pauls says the community has really jumped on board and he hopes people go online and talk about their hockey memories in Killarney.

Tim Morrison has been involved in Killarney's hockey scene for a number of years. The local teacher was instrumental in building up the town's highschool hockey program.

People have until the end of the month to submit stories and pictures on the Hockeyville website.
