"Get Local" was the name and theme of an art show that took place in Boissevain on Saturday night.

The 1894 Art Centre hosted the event. Co-owner Casey Guenther was thrilled with the response. "It's great to see all the support and interest people have for local art." A total of 10 artists from the Boissevain area had works on display. They ranged from oil paintings to photography.

Guenther says the art show will help the centre to prepare for fall programs. He says this year's art show was such a success it may take palce again next year.
