Hidden Valley RV Park has been expanding their number of camping sites to accommodate the increasing demand.

Owner, Tina Dousselaere says they added 30 new sites to their current 50 sites in the Pleasant Valley

“We haven’t had a lot of turn-overs and not a lot of availabilities so we decided to expand to add 30 more sites,” she explains.

The pandemic inspired many to get out and enjoy the great outdoors, with RV trailer and camper sales being the rave over the past 2 years. It was often difficult to find a camp site with the surge of camping enthusiasts these past 2 summers. Having a seasonal site ensures you have a place to return to, much like a summer cottage … on wheels!

“We have people who have been there since we opened and they have decks and outdoor kitchens,” she shares. “It’s kind of like going to your cabin, but it’s a camper instead. You have everything there, like your patio tables and chairs and everything’s all set up!”

Dousselaere feels the camping 'bug' won't end anytime soon.

“Looking at all the requests that I’ve received for occasional sites, and I have only 4 occasional sites, and they’re almost completely booked up, and the request for seasonal sites, I think that this trend is going to continue.”

Hidden Valley RV Park's regular season opener is typically the May long weekend. However, now that ‘ol man winter has come back with a vengeance, we'll have to wait and see!

The expansion project was started last fall, and is expected to be complete by the end of June.
