Manitoba RCMP renews calls for tips in the disappearance of Samantha Hiebert

On August 19, 2020, Powerview RCMP received a report that Samantha Mary Hiebert, from Sagkeeng First Nation, was missing.
The investigation to date has determined that Samantha was last seen at the Sagkeeng Employment and Income Assistance Office on April 1, 2019.
Over the past three years, she has not accessed her bank account, has had no contact with friends or family and hasn't been active on social media.
Samantha was 28-years-old at the time of her disappearance. She is 5'10" in height, approximately 170 lbs, with brown hair and brown eyes.
Police and family are very concerned for her wellbeing.
“The Manitoba RCMP strongly believes that someone in the community has important information about Samantha’s disappearance,” said Sgt. Paul Manaigre, spokesperson for the Manitoba RCMP. “Samantha’s family, friends, the community of Sagkeeng First Nation and our investigators are all searching for answers but we need help. We need anyone who has information to come forward, every tip is valuable and can make an incredible difference.”
Investigators are looking for any information about Samantha in the month before she was last seen or in the months following her disappearance.
To help further the investigation, the Manitoba RCMP has placed a billboard with a plea for more information on Highway 11 in the community of Sagkeeng First Nation.
The RCMP has also placed posters about Samantha’s disappearance in locations throughout Sagkeeng First Nation as well as in the neighbouring communities of Powerview-Pine Falls and Traverse Bay.
