Mike McEwen of Winnipeg captured his first Grand Slam of Curling title on Sunday beating 1996 World champion Jeff Stoughton 4-2 in the final of the World Cup of Curling in Windsor, Ontario. McEwen, along with B.J. Neufeld, Matt Wozniak and Denni Neufeld, won $22,500. They also beat Stoughton in the final of the Canad Inns Prairie Classic in Portage last month. Earlier McEwen bounced Kevin Martin of Edmonton 8-3 in the quarter-finals and then downed Rob Fowler of Brandon 7-2 in the semi.
