Terry McNamee has opened the 2011 Canadian Mixed Curling Championship with a win. McNamee, along with third Lana Hunter, second Allan Lawn and lead Lisa Blixhavn, stole three points in the third end, stole two more in the fourth and then took four in the seventh end and downed Steven Slupski of Saskatchewan 10-2. Hunter was outstanding curling 98%. The Manitoba champions will play a pair of games today. The Hamiota foursome will face Chris Gardner of Ontario at 2 p.m. and then meet Steve Moss of Northwest Territories/Yukon at 6:30 p.m.
