A sunflower queen in Australia is getting some help from the Lions Club in Melita.

Melita Corbin is from Emerald in Queensland and she toured southern Manitoba this past summer. Corbin's community has been hit hard by the heavy rain and flood waters.

 

 

Orville Rewick is with the Lions Club in Melita. He says the club hosted Corbin this past summer when she toured southern Manitoba. He says the club wants to help out.

 

 

Corbin is an active Lions member and says the facility used for their meetings suffered a lot of damage.
